We created the first-ever binge-watching service allowing fans to binge-watch their favorite shows from the world of their favorite shows: The Crown from a royal palace, Arrested Development from the Bluth family yacht, and The Haunting of Hill House from an actual haunted house. Each destination was flawlessly re-created, using authentic props and Easter eggs from the shows, down to the butler who formerly served Queen Elizabeth herself.
The program launched with an online trailer that “appeared” to be a trailer for the next season of The Crown, before revealing this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. People were then led to the LG B&BINGE site, where the shows were treated like B&B rental properties, allowing fans to vie for their chance to book the first-ever, guilt-free binge vacation.
People love their shows more than ever, but care very little about what they watch them on. Which, for LG, the makers of the best TVs on the market, is not ideal. We needed to ignite the passion for bingeing and show that the right TV can elevate the experience and immerse the audience in a show like nothing else. So we launched the world’s first Bingewatching getaway: LG B&Binge. In partnership with Netflix, we let people book a weekend in the world of their favorite show to watch their favorite shows.
